Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions are the agreement between AI Robot Academy and the parents of the student who is registering in our program.  The purpose of this agreement is to make sure both AI Robot Academy and our students including their parents are all on the same page and share common understanding to avoid any miscommunications.  By checking the consent box on the Registration Page, it would mean that parents have read and understood that we are in full agreement together.  Here are the specific details:

1)      Training Program – Our training program consists of the total of 60 hours divided into three courses and accomplished in three weeks during the summer time, and in six weeks during other seasons.

a.       Classes – In Summer time (June 12 to end of August).  Our classes are Monday through Friday.  We offer two classes in Summer and three classes in other seasons.

b.       Courses/Program – Our Program entails of three courses, or 60 hours in total.  In addition, we offer a free four-hour software development Agile/Scrum framework workshop after each program is complete. Parents are also encouraged and are welcome to attend these workshops along with their kids to benefit from and have better understanding of our program. Our Program takes three weeks in Summer time, and six weeks in other seasons.  But, the total number of hours spent for each Program is the same (60 hours) throughout the year.

c.       Hours – The first class of our Summer Program is from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second class is from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.  During Summer, each class takes about four hours. During the regular seasons, our classes start at 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM respectively.  Each class would take about two hours Monday through Friday.

d.       Program Schedules – Our summer schedule starts on June 12 and ends at the end of the August.  Our Fall season starts in September which we will announce the specific dates on our website accordingly.

2)      Tuition and fees

a.       Per course – Each course costs $385/student, if signed up individually.  We encourage students to sign up for the entire program, all three courses, to complete their learning. But, if students prefer to sign up only for one course, they can do so.

b.       All courses combined – All three courses would cost $1,100 when signed up upfront for all three combined.

3)      Payment methods

a.       PayPal on our Website may be used to pay for the courses.

4)      Cancellation & Refund Policy

a.       Cancellation – Students and/or parents have the right to cancel their agreement of a program, without any penalty or obligations for any reason, prior to the starting date of the course paid for.  We would appreciate it if you inform us a few days before our classes start, so we would have the time to replace the student with others on our waiting list.

b.       Email Notification – Please email your cancellation note to accounting@AIrobotAcademy.com as soon as possible.

c.       Class Changes – If the student plans to reschedule and attend in another time, we would try our best to accommodate their requests, but there will be no guarantees we could find space available in other teams.

d.       Termination – If AI Robot Academy decides to terminate a student due to reasons that will be discussed and worked out with their parents to ensure there are no misunderstandings or miscommunications between us.

e.       Attendance – Full Class attendance is required for students and it is the violations of our rules if not complied with.  If any violation occurs, we will immediately contact the parents to discuss the matter and make appropriate decision.  We are committed to every student’s successful completion of our program.

f.        Certificate of Completion – Students will be awarded a Certificate of “AI Robot Engineering Fundamentals” when they abide by the rules and complete the 60-hour program.  Students must have passed each course and have completed the required works in the class.  This Certificate may be used in lieu of SAT exam which seems to be no longer required for entrance to universities in the US.  Students could demonstrate the AI Robot they build in the class to any schools they plan to attend.

g.       Recommendations to Higher Education Institutions – AI Robot Academy will provide letters of recommendations based on the students’ participation and accomplishments in the class recognized by the instructor.  We will help the students to highlight their accomplishments in our program and ensure they are recognized for their work.

h.       Admissions Requirements – Students understand that they must pass our interview and assessment before they attend our classes, to ensure that they are qualified for our program.  This in-person interview will occur within one or two days after their registration.  If the student is not qualified to participate in our program for any reason, due to our discretion, we would immediately refund the full payment received and inform both the parents and the student of our decisions.

i.         Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: Students understand that they must own a Windows-based Operating System laptop that meets the minimum requirements as outlined on the website (www.AIrobotAcademy.com ).  At this time, we do not provide computers beyond verifying the students’ computers meet the minimum requirements. This issue will be discussed at the time of the registration when student is interviewed to ensure they own the right laptop.

j.         Career Services: If a student needs any career guidance in their fields of studies and their educational endeavors, we will provide any help we can to ensure they have the awareness of their career goals and make an informed decision.

k.       Other Equipment – We will provide any equipment and materials required for our classes in building the robots.  This is including 3D printer, printing materials, electrical parts to connect, etc.

l.         Complaints/Disputes – If students find any issues that need to be addressed, please do so immediately and bring it to our attention ASAP.  We will discuss the matters addressed with the parents and make appropriate decision amiable to both sides.

AI Robot Academy Rights – The undersigned student and/or the parents, hereby agree that in consideration for the Student’s participation in a training program offered by the AI Robot Academy, the Student acknowledges that AI Robot Academy owns all rights, title, and interest in and to all lectures, course materials and any equipment built during the Program, all of which are protected by copyright laws and shall not be shared, sold, copied, recorded or reproduced by the student by any means for any purpose.
